About Tuniri

Our Mission

Tuniri exists because we believe early learning should be safe, private, and accessible to every child regardless of internet connectivity, family budget, or location. We built the app we wished existed for our own children: one that works from the first tap, never asks for an account, and never shows an ad.

Why Offline-First?

The #1 complaint across children's educational apps is lack of offline support. Parents hand their phone to their child on airplanes, in waiting rooms, on road trips, and in areas with poor connectivity. Most educational apps fail in these moments.

Tuniri works from the moment it's installed. Every letter, word, illustration, sound effect, and story is bundled locally. No downloads, no loading screens, no "please connect to the internet" messages. Just learning and play.

Privacy by Architecture

We don't just promise not to collect data. We architecturally cannot. Tuniri has no network permissions, no analytics SDKs, no cloud APIs, and no user accounts. All learning progress is encrypted (AES-256) and stored locally on your device. You can delete it anytime from the parent dashboard.

No Subscriptions

Parents are stacking 3-5 educational app subscriptions at $50-100/month. We think that's wrong. Tuniri is a one-time purchase with a generous free tier. Buy once, learn forever. All future content updates are included.

Child-First Design

Every screen in Tuniri is designed so a 3-year-old can use it without help. Icon-based navigation, 88pt touch targets, instant audio/visual feedback, and zero dead ends. Wrong answers earn 0 stars but never lose stars. No punishment, no streak anxiety, no dark patterns.

Accessibility

1 in 36 children are on the autism spectrum, and 87% of their parents use educational apps. Tuniri includes a parent-controlled stimulation slider, color-blind modes, reduced motion settings, and adjustable touch targets. Accessibility is built into the core, not bolted on as an afterthought.
